X/Gnomo:Cómo medir la geometría de una ventana abierta

¿Existe un programa X/Gnome estándar que muestre el ancho y la profundidad X,Y en píxeles de una ventana que selecciono?Algo similar a la forma en que un xterm te muestra el ancho y la profundidad de la ventana (en líneas) a medida que cambias su tamaño.

Estoy ejecutando Red Hat Enterprise Linux 4.4.
