Estoy escribiendo una aplicación para interactuar con un receptor de DirecTV a través de la interfaz de servidor http. Soy capaz de consultar el dispositivo y obtener la respuesta Sjón formateado.

Para propósitos de prueba, me salvó la respuesta al archivo de datos y estoy leyendo desde que en el ejemplo anterior. La conversión de NSMutableData a NSString a través de:
NSString *rString = [[NSString alloc] initWithData:rData encoding:NSUTF8StringEncoding];
falla si el carácter siguiente está en su lugar. e como en crema fresca . Como referencia esto fue en el episodeTitle y la descripción de una grabación de South Park.
Si cambio a este personaje solo una letra mayúscula "E", las obras de conversión. ¿Hay un método diferente que debo usar para atrapar algo como esto? ¿O hay una forma sencilla de eliminar los caracteres de este tipo? Por favor, tenga en cuenta que no voy a saber de antemano si es y marca de acento o algo diferente que podría causar la conversión falle.

Es probable que un problema de codificación del servidor web. Usted está esperando datos UTF-8, pero te apuesto a que es no lo que le están enviando. Trate de leer usando [NSString stringWithContentsOfFile:] en lugar y ver si hay algún cambio.
El compilador lanzar una advertencia porque está obsoleto ese método.
