NSMutableData alla conversione NSString non riesce se personaggio regalo speciale

Sto scrivendo un app per interagire con un ricevitore DirecTV attraverso l'interfaccia del server http. Sono in grado di interrogare il dispositivo e ottenere la risposta Sjon formattato.

Ai fini della prova, ho salvato la risposta al file di dati e sto leggendo da esso nell'esempio di cui sopra. La conversione da NSMutableData a NSString via:
NSString *rString = [[NSString alloc] initWithData:rData encoding:NSUTF8StringEncoding];
non riesce se il personaggio che segue è a posto. e come in creme fraiche . Per avere un riferimento questo era in episodeTitle e la descrizione da una registrazione di South Park.
Se cambio questo personaggio a solo un caso superiore "E", i lavori di conversione. Esiste un metodo diverso dovrei usare per la cattura di qualcosa di simile? O c'è un modo semplice per rimuovere i caratteri di questo tipo? Si prega di tenere a mente non lo saprò prima di mano se si tratta di e segno di accento o qualcosa di diverso che potrebbe causare la conversione al sicuro.

E 'probabile un problema di codifica dal server web. Ci si aspetta dati UTF-8, ma io ti scommettere che non è quello che sono l'invio di voi. Provate a leggere utilizzando [NSString stringWithContentsOfFile:], invece, e vedere se qualcosa cambia.
Il compilatore lanciare un avvertimento, perché quel metodo è deprecato. In realtà, si potrebbe utilizzare stringWithContentsOfFile: usedEncoding: errore: invece, ma io e altri hanno riferito che non sembra funzionare così come il vecchio metodo per i dati che non sono perfettamente codificati (cioè il 90% del web : -.))
Controllare il intestazioni HTTP in risposta dell'unità DirecTV. Non probabilmente sta usando UTF-8. Figura quale codifica si utilizza, quindi fornire la costante corretto initWithData:encoding:.
È possibile utilizzare il comando curl -i http://directv-data-url per vedere l'header HTTP.
