Google Feed API aggiunge tag XML che mancano?

Ho ereditato un pezzo di JavaScript che usa l'API di alimentazione Google. Chiama questo feed e restituisce XML da TypePad: http://simplystated.realsimple.com/simplyStated/adventures-in-chaos/rss.xml . Se vedo questo feed usando la sorgente di vista di Firefox, vedo l'XML sottostante.C'è un tag XML.

Dopo aver chiamato l'API, quando guardo i risultati.xmldocument, noto che c'è un campo che non era lì prima.

The way I understand it, you don't get the original feed; you get a feed from Google's servers. Google loads the original feed and then feeds it back to you. Since you can even change the feed format (like to JSON or XML) I think it's safe to assume that Google will always transform and normalize it before giving it back to you.
