Come visto in Questa domanda SO su come ottenere icone per tipi di file comuni , è possibile che un programma Windows ottenga le icone per un tipo di file registrato utilizzando l'API Shell C ++. Queste icone potrebbero esistere o meno sul disco: ad esempio, volevamo creare il nostro browser di file personalizzato e visualizzare l'icona associata al sistema con il file.

Esiste un modo nativo C # per ottenere le icone per vari tipi di file (e in tal caso, come) o deve essere fatto tramite PInvoke con l'API della shell?

Non è la soluzione più pulita ma funziona. Altrimenti, prova a mettere le mani su una libreria di icone basata sul tipo mime o sull'estensione del file.

Icon.ExtractAssociatedIcon () non farà il trucco. Come MSDN afferma che estrae solo le icone < strong> contenuto nel file. Quindi la creazione di file fittizi non aiuta neanche. Per quanto ne so, devi andare sul modo p / invoke per arrivare a queste icone. Una domanda in merito è this . MaLio sembra avere un esempio abbastanza completo di come ottenere le icone con p / invoke.

Non conosco nemmeno un modo agnostico di piattaforma per farlo (e non credo ce ne sia uno).
