選択したウィンドウの X、Y 幅と奥行きをピクセル単位で表示する標準の X / Gnome プログラムはありますか?xterm でウィンドウのサイズを変更すると、ウィンドウの幅と奥行きが (行単位で) 表示されるのと似ています。

Red Hat Enterprise Linux 4.4 上で実行しています。
