Eu vi algumas soluções, incluindo relógio e simplesmente executar um script looping (e dormir) no fundo, mas nada foi ideal.
Eu tenho um script que precisa ser executado a cada 15 segundos, e desde cron não irá apoiar segundos, eu estou à esquerda para descobrir algo mais.
O que é a maneira mais robusto e eficiente para executar um script a cada 15 segundos em unix? As necessidades de script para também correr após uma reinicialização.
Solução
Gostaria de usar cron para executar um script a cada minuto, e fazer esse script executar o script quatro vezes com 15 segundos de sono entre as execuções.
(Isto assume que o seu script é rápido a executar -. Você pode ajustar os tempos de sono se não)
Dessa forma, você recebe todos os benefícios de cron
, bem como o seu segundo período de funcionamento 15.

Se você insistir de executar o seu script a partir de cron:

e substituir o seu nome e caminho do script para / foo / bar / o_script

Isto é tão eficiente quanto ele ganha. A parte importante somente é executado a cada 15 segundos eo script dorme o resto do tempo (assim não desperdiçar ciclos).
Eu escrevi um programador mais rápido do cron. Eu também implementaram um guarda sobreposição. Você pode configurar o programador para não iniciar um processo novo, se anterior ainda está em execução. Dê uma olhada na https://github.com/sioux1977/scheduler/wiki
Use nanosleep (2) . Ele usa estrutura timespec
que é usado para especificar intervalos de tempo com precisão de nanossegundos.

Desde a minha resposta anterior eu vim com uma outra solução que é diferente e talvez melhor. Este código permite que os processos sejam executados mais de 60 vezes por minuto com uma precisão microssegundo. Você precisa do programa usleep para fazer este trabalho. Deve ser bom para até 50 vezes por segundo.
