Problema compilar Python 2.6.4 no AIX 5.3

Eu estou tentando construir Python 2.6.4 no AIX 5.3. Estou executando configure desta forma:

./configure --prefix=/home/chenf/python --disable-ipv6 --disable-shared --with-libs='/usr/lib/libncurses.a' --without-threads --disable-threads --with-ncurses=/utv/sad/ncurses/lib/libncurses.a

Parece que estou tendo problemas ligando com ncurses (veja abaixo), que é por isso que eu tentei de várias maneiras para apontam para configurar onde encontrar libncurses.a. /usr/lib/libncurses.a é um link simbólico para /utv/sad/ncurses/lib/libncurses.a, que existe e não tem problemas de permissão. Há também um link para o arquivo em / usr / / lib local.

No meu caso, OBJECT_MODE foi de 64, mas o libcurses.a arquivo contém apenas 32bit arquivos objeto !!

Depois de mudar o OBJECT_MODE variável ambiental a 32, tudo funcionou !!!

Graças às sugestões de Jed Smith, eu consegui chegar a este trabalho. Isto é o que eu queria fazer isso:
