Django: PYTHON_EGG_CACHE, acesso negado erro

Eu estou implantando minha aplicação Django em um servidor, e na última fase que estou recebendo este erro:

ExtractionError at /admin/

[Errno 13] Permission denied: '/.python-eggs'

The Python egg cache directory is currently set to:

/.python-eggs

A coisa mais estranha aqui é que eu estou usando outro site Django neste host sem tal erro :(

Bem, você está usando uma estranha biblioteca setuptools-ativado.

Mas de qualquer maneira, há um problema para você variável de ambiente configuração PYTHON_EGG_CACHE a qualquer gravável diretório para o usuário do aplicativo?
